No pictures, no long story about my family’s monthly trips to chain restaurants after we spent the afternoon volunteering at the turtle sanctuary.
About 15 years ago, I ordered soft tacos at Chili’s. Did I feel like soft tacos? Probably not. They must have been the third cheapest entree on the menu- my go-to meal when I am not paying. There was no description, so I was in for a surprise when my plate showed up. Soft tacos from Chili’s… what could go wrong?
What arrived was nothing like what I expected- not bad- just not soft tacos, and not something I felt comfortable making someone pay $7 for. It’s something I make occasionally when I have the ingredients on hand and I need to eat something in 2 minutes.
Here’s what goes into one. Multiply according to your needs (I think they gave me three at Chili’s. I usually do two at home):
1 fajita sized flour tortilla
about 2 tablespoons of Wolf Brand Chili
a small lady’s handful of sharp cheddar cheese
Fold like a soft taco, and microwave for about 45 seconds. Enjoy.
Nutrition information: Not very nutritional.
EDIT: I just got a spam comment on this posts that said, “It’s going to be finish of mine day, except before end I am reading this
fantastic post to improve my know-how.” So I guess this copycat chili’s soft taco recipe is porn spambot approved!
